In this module, client care will be discussed. Providing quality client care includes collaboration and therapeutic communication with other members of the healthcare team, as well as critical thinking. Client care includes the delivery of compassionate, safe, and individualized support to meet each client's physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. - Identify principles of holistic, client-centered care (Chapter 3, Course Outcome #1)
- Use the nursing process to provide client care (Chapter 4, Course Outcome #4)
- Differentiate safety considerations among diverse clients (Chapter 5, Course Outcome #1)
- Identify safety considerations for adults of all ages (Chapter 5, Course Outcome #1)
- Identify principles of holistic, client-centered care by incorporating cultural, religious, and spiritual influences on client health (Chapter 18, Course Outcome #7)
- Digital Skill Objective: Demonstrate using social media professionally by understanding workplace etiquette on LinkedIn, Facebook, or X (formerly Twitter) (Chapter 1, Course Outcome # 5).
To achieve these objectives:
- Read the Module 6 Introduction
- Read Chapters #1 Scope of Practice, #3 Ethics and Professionalism, #4 Basic Nursing Skills, #5 Safety and #18 Mental Health in the textbook, Introduction to Practical Nursing
- Complete the Discussion Boards by Sunday evening at 11:59cst. Faculty will grade by Friday 11:59pm est.
