    Upon completion of this module, you will have:

    1. Read and viewed the final assessment instructions
    2. Scheduled your exam with the proctoring service [if applicable]
    3. Prepared and submitted your final assessment

    To achieve these objectives:

    1. Read and view the contents of the module book "Exam Information and Instructions." 
    2. Review the final assessment guidelines in your syllabus to make sure you are ready. Click on [Title of Assessment below] and follow the instructions.
    3. Log in to the proctoring service and take your exam. [if applicable]

      Exam Rules

      Time Restriction

      You are allowed a maximum of [time limit] to complete your exam.

      Permitted During Testing
      1. You are allowed to use... [List out approved resources, such as calculators, notes, textbooks, dictionaries, or any software. Be as specific as possible. Add these items to the proctoring site instructions.]

      2. If scratch paper or a whiteboard is allowed, be specific about how this will work. For example: You are allowed up to three 8.5" X 11" sheets of scratch paper during the test. To verify the number of sheets and that the paper is blank, you must show your scratch paper to the proctor before you begin your test.  At the end of the test, the proctor will instruct you to destroy the scratch paper; the proctor must witness you destroying the paper.

      Prohibited During Testing
      1. List items that are not allowed: notes, textbooks, scratch paper, websites, software, etc. Include as much detail as possible.

      The academic honesty guidelines stated in your syllabus will be strictly enforced.

      Scheduling With Your Proctor

      Your proctoring service asks that you schedule your exam session at least seventy-two hours prior to taking it. There may be additional fees if you schedule your exam closer to your requested appointment time.

      When you are ready, go to the [Exam Service] site and visit the [Title of Page, linked] page. Log in and select the exam that you are scheduling. [Include instructions specific to the service used.]

      Taking Your Exam

      At Your Exam Time
      1. Review the items that are permitted and prohibited and put away all prohibited items.

      2. Log in to your [Exam Service] account and enter your session. Follow all of the proctor's instructions. 

      3. When instructed, click on [Exam Name] in this module/at the [Publisher Name] site. When prompted, your proctor will insert the password for your exam. You may receive additional instructions or requests from the proctor. 

      4. During the exam, do not use your browser's "back" button. This will remove you from your exam and end your attempt. Only use the navigation tools to move through your exam.

      5. When you are finished with your exam, submit your answers.

      6. Do not disconnect from the proctoring session without notifying the proctor. Follow the proctor's instructions for completing the session. 

      You will remain under the proctor's supervision until the entire exam is completed. You are not allowed to leave the testing area during the exam for any reason. No person is allowed to make or retain copies of any materials from your exams.
