The assignment involves identifying and analyzing a case in which the defendant was sentenced to death in the United States at some time during the past 50 years. Describe the crime, the relationship between offender and victim, and the characteristics of each. Write a paper with special focus on the judicial processes, aggravating and mitigating involved in the case, and the reason for the sentence of death. Indicate whether you believe the death penalty was justified in this case. Why, or why not.
The paper must be approximately 500 words in length, approximately 2 pages double-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font, following APA formatting standards. The assignment should be submitted by uploading a file either in Word or Adobe (file extensions .doc or .pdf)
