Step 1: Pick a common piece of equipment used in a commercial kitchen. Search online for three different brands then compare and contrast the utility needs, space, capacity and design of the equipment.
Summarize each brand and include the following information:
- Product Name
- Usage and capacity
- Space & Utility Requirements
- Maintenance Requirements
- Initial cost and ongoing costs
Step 2: Attach your summary of the three equipment brands. Compare and contrast the three brands pointing out any significant differences. Then highlight which brand you would select providing justification.
STEP 3: Reply to one student post using critical thinking skills to make another correlation. Comment on the other students experience pointing out any similarities or discrepancies.
