Consider a patient with either diabetes mellitus, hypothyroidism, or adrenal insufficiency. Using what you’ve learned about hormone regulation and drug therapies, respond to the following:

Hormone Physiology & Feedback: Briefly explain the role of feedback mechanisms (negative or positive) involved in the patient’s condition. How does the body normally regulate this hormone or hormone system
Pharmacological Intervention: Describe the drug or class of drugs commonly used to treat this disorder. How does the medication work to correct the hormonal imbalance?
Clinical Considerations: What are two important safety concerns, side effects, or drug interactions healthcare providers must monitor in this patient? How might these impact patient education or treatment plans?

Ratings: will place the forum in the gradebook. You can set set a maximum grade. Restricting ratings to a date range only affects when you can grade, and not when the activity is available to students.

Activity completion: You can select completion criteria and an expected completed date.
